Dealer Comments
The 2015 Lincoln MKC is a premium compact SUV that combines refined design, advanced comfort features, and practical versatility. Powered by an EcoBoost 2.0L I4 GTDi DOHC Turbocharged VCT engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, it delivers strong daily performance with front-wheel drive dynamics.
This SUV fits buyers seeking a blend of luxury appointments and everyday practicality. The MKC's heated Luxury Soft Touch Bucket Seats and memory seat enhance comfort during commutes or longer trips, while features like dual-zone automatic climate control and a rear window defroster create a pleasant environment year-round. For those in Fort Worth or similar climates, the combination of remote keyless entry and heated mirrors provides added convenience on chilly mornings and busy days. Families and professionals alike will appreciate the flexible rear seat and ample cargo space for groceries, luggage, or sports gear.
On the road, the MKC's EcoBoost 2.0L engine delivers responsive acceleration suitable for merging onto highways or navigating urban traffic. The 6-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, complementing the four-wheel independent suspension for a controlled and composed ride. Speed-sensing steering and traction control contribute to confident handling in various driving conditions, while the front-wheel drive setup offers predictable performance and efficient power delivery. The setup is optimized for daily driving, balancing comfort and agility without sacrificing efficiency.
Safety is a strong focus in this SUV, with equipment that prioritizes both prevention and protection. The MKC features dual front impact airbags, dual front side impact airbags, a knee airbag, and overhead airbags to help cushion occupants in the event of a collision. Active safety systems like ABS brakes and Electronic Stability Control work together to maintain control on slippery roads or during sudden maneuvers. Rear Parking Sensors and an Exterior Parking Camera Rear make reversing and parking easier and safer, while the Low Tire Pressure Warning system helps keep the vehicle properly maintained for optimal safety.
Equipment Group 100A Premiere includes a suite of comfort and technology amenities designed to enhance every drive. The Lincoln Premium Sound System with 10 speakers, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and MP3/CD playback offer a rich audio experience for music lovers. Automatic temperature control, front dual zone A/C, and heated front seats create a tailored cabin environment. Practical touches like power windows, a power driver and passenger seat, split folding rear seat, roof rack rails, and remote keyless entry add flexibility for passengers and cargo alike. Alloy wheels and body-color accents complete the stylish exterior.
When comparing the MKC to competitors like the Acura RDX and BMW X3, it stands out for its balanced mix of luxury features and strong value. The MKC’s standard heated seats, advanced sound system, and memory functions are often reserved for higher trims in rivals.
